About me

I am a self taught watercolor artist, inspired by the supernatural and the underworld. Despite having a masters degree in archaeology, I can’t help adding trolls to my forests whenever I can.

I draw inspiration mostly from early 1900s fairy tale illustrations, like Kay Nielsen and John Bauer, but also from the 70s comic book artists like Möbius, Philippe Druillet and Enki Bilal. I always try to use color sparingly, only to realize at last brush stroke that I’ve made yet another colorful fantasy forest.

Nature photography has also been a passion of mine for a long time, preferring gritty lo-fi photos over the high quality ones.

Always on the lookout for new projects and new ways to use my art, from illustrations to graphic design, I would love to hear from you!
